Feeling overwhelmed by emotional patterns, relationship drama, or inner confusion?
This course won’t give you platitudes — it gives you precision tools to heal, clarify, and transform your life from the inside out.

In four Saturdays (or twelve Monday sessions), you’ll learn concrete spiritual methods that:

  • Process emotions without bypassing or over-analyzing
  • Shift your relationships by changing how you perceive & interact with others
  • Help you speak & act in alignment with your higher self
  • Learn to work co-creatively with spiritual beings to heal your karmic patterns for yourself, for your community, & for humanity — through your free will

In times of inner or outer turmoil, anthroposophy calls us not to flee from the challenge—but to meet it with strength, clarity, and courage. This course offers a grounded, step-by-step path for spiritual development rooted in meditative methods inspired by Knowledge of Higher Worlds and refined through decades of social-spiritual practice.

Whether you’re confronting personal dragons or sensing global unrest, these tools will help you meet life with harmony and heart. Get ahead of the Michaelmas impulse this August, or join us for the Autumn cohort beginning on Michaelmas Day itself for a slower-paced experience.

Course Instructors:

Susan Overhauser, PhD, is a psychotherapist, teacher, and long-time student of anthroposophy. She brings over 40 years of experience in spiritual research, inner development, and trauma-informed healing. Susan is known for her gentle clarity, deep listening, and ability to guide others into direct, soul-level experiences of truth and transformation.

Arianna Golden, MS, is a biomedical engineer, meditation guide, and spiritual researcher whose work bridges inner development with practical transformation. As an autistic adult with ADHD, Arianna brings unique insight into how neurodivergent perception reveals spiritual truths — and how to translate those insights into daily life. Her teaching blends anthroposophic meditation, yogic tradition, and lived experience to help others find clarity, freedom, and healing from within.

LIVE FREE LECTURE: The Re-Enlivening of Yoga Between 1925 and 2025 https://proto.sfbbi.org/live-free-lecture-the-re-enlivening-of-yoga-between-1925-and-2025/ Wed, 28 May 2025 04:33:35 +0000 https://proto.sfbbi.org/?p=5098

A History of Modern Yoga Through an Anthroposophic Lens

Yoga as it was understood in the early 20th century, and as Rudolf Steiner spoke about it, is in fact completely different to how yoga is practiced in modern culture.

In this lecture, Arianna Golden will share the story of how and why the meaning of the word “yoga” has changed over the past 100 years. This story may invite you to ask: is modern yoga aligned with modern anthroposophical values and practices? Can a modern anthroposophist practice yoga and still be an anthroposophist?

Practical Meditation for Everyday Use https://proto.sfbbi.org/practical-meditation-for-everyday-use/ Wed, 28 Jun 2023 02:58:47 +0000 https://proto.sfbbi.org/?p=4339 An Online Workshop introducing three simple techniques rooted in anthroposophy for practical applications.

Friday, July 14 · 12 noon – 2:30 pm PDT

  • First, we will work with the Planetary Parliament to create a safe, collaborative space. Using the planets as guides, we will work together to ensure that we stay within our time constraints, that everyone feels safe to ask questions and share, and that all the logistical functions of a meeting are carried by the group as a whole. The purpose of using this is to show you how one person does not have to hold all these functions to run a meeting, the group can work together harmoniously to do this.
  • We will then work through a guided meditation, Logic of the Heart. This meditation is extremely effective for balancing sensory discomfort, overwhelm, sticky emotions, and obsessive thoughts. You don’t have to name your sensation or feeling or thought, and you don’t have to share or know what the circumstances are that led to your sensation or feeling or thought. This meditation utilizes multi-sensory imagination to work with the underlying soul substances of sensations, thoughts, or feelings. The purpose of doing this meditation is to give you a tool that you can use to come to a state of inner peace.
  • Once we have this tool to come to a place of inner peace, we will dive into kinesiology testing. This is a method of connecting to spiritual beings or cosmic energy to make decisions in harmony with the world we live in. You can use any spiritual school for working with these beings or energy forms, all are welcome. If you’re more comfortable thinking about cosmic energy, that also works and is welcome. The purpose of learning kinesiology testing is to give you a tool for making decisions in collaboration with the spiritual influences that we usually ignore but which have a large impact on our lives, whether we’re conscious of that or not.

I began using kinesiology testing when I was a toddler, but I’d noticed that when I was emotionally distressed, I wasn’t open to understanding the information I was receiving. This is why I’m including Logic of the Heart first because that meditation allows you to be open to deeply hearing the spiritual beings or cosmic energy that you’ve connected to. Sometimes they don’t tell you what you want to hear, and having Logic of the Heart as a practice in your toolbox means you have a concrete method for separating from your emotional or intellectual reactions so you can make a decision from a neutral empathic place.

About the Instructor:

Arianna Golden grew up in an anthroposophical household and went to the East Bay Waldorf School from 1995-2004. She has degrees in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, which only began to be useful after she figured out she had autism in 2019. The spiritual and meditation techniques that she teaches have transformed her life in very deep ways and she hopes to share the usefulness of these methods with those who choose to learn from her.
